CURRICULUM VITAE

OF GABRIELE BARBAROSSA

He was born in Teramo on 09/12/1965 and graduated at the IPSIA (Professional Institute for Industry and Craft Workers) of Pescara in 1984.

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE

From 1979 to 1984 he moved his first steps in the laboratory of his cousin, Mr. L. Barbarossa, teacher at the IPSIA of Pescara. Then, from 1984 to 1986 he attended the laboratory of his teacher, Professor F. Biferi, majoring in Fixed Prosthodontics.

From 1984 on, he attended numerous training courses in Total Dental Prosthesis, Skeletal Prosthesis, Fixed Prosthesis, Gnathology and Implantoprosthetis held by international renowned experts.

Later on, he dedicated himself to the Total Dental Prosthesis, following several school of thoughts in Europe and in the U.S.

From 1988 to 2001 he worked in his own Dental Technology Laboratory in Bisenti (TE).

In 1999 he became part of the Operative Group “G.O.P.” Violi.

In 2002 he founded the ESTHETIC ORAL CENTER together

with Davide Peluzzi in Montorio al Vomano (TE), where he worked until 2012.

As keynote speaker, he attended numerous conventions, among which:

 52nd Edition of the “Amici di Brugg” Convention in 2009

 2nd Edition of the “Experience and Innovation in Dentistry” Conference in 2009

 53rd Edition of the “Amici di Brugg” Convention - XX Convention in Sicily - X ANDI Conference in Palermo in 2010

From 2011 to 2015 he was Professor for ANTLO Formazione

From 2012 to 2015 he was member of the Scientific Committee for the magazine “Il Nuovo Laboratorio Odontotecnico”.

In 2017 he attended the EXPODENTAL in Rimini as a member of the examination board for the 3rd edition of the "Trofeo RUTHINIUM".

ASSOCIATIVE EXPERIENCE

He is member of ANTLO (Associazione Nazionale Titolari di Laboratorio Odontotecnico) and he was Cultural Manager for ANTLO Abruzzo from 1999 to 2001.

Since 2002 he’s been Regional President of ANTLO Abruzzo and National Vice President of ANTLO.

In 2005 he was co-founder of CRA (Consulta Relatori Abruzzesi Giuseppangelo Fonzi “ANTLO Abruzzo”).

From May 2007 to 2011 he was ANTLO’s National Cultural Secretary.

In 2008 he co-founded a cultural association named “Decanter”, of which he became President in the month of July of the same year.

In April 2009 he was National Supervisor for the “Apollonia Solidale” project, in favor of his colleagues of L’Aquila after the earthquake.

From 2010 to 2011 he was President of ANTLO Abruzzo.

From 2011 to 2015 he was ANTLO’s National Secretary.

HOBBIES

He loves History, Archeology, Photography and soccer.

PUBLICATIONS

Co-author of the book “I Sistemi Poligonali di Avvistamento nella storia dell’Alta Valle del Fino” - published in April 2010.
